Maple syrup is an all natural product that is made only in North America and Pennsylvania is a major producer of syrup. It’s easy to make with just a few pieces of equipment and a little ambition and a fun time for family and friends to get together.

Penn State Extension educator Scott Weikert will lead you through the journey of making your own syrup from start to finish. He will talk about how to identify maple trees, tapping the trees and collecting sap, and ways to cook the sap down until it is maple syrup.
