About The In-Person Workshop
The Beef Cattle Short Course is a two-day event presented by Penn State Extension with support from the Pennsylvania Beef Producers Working Group. The program begins with a live cattle evaluation, giving participants an opportunity to assess a class of cattle and learn how those evaluations relate to carcass outcomes. On day two, participants will evaluate the same cattle on the rail as university specialists discuss the yield and quality of each animal and demonstrate carcass breakdown.
