BQA Re-certification:

There are two certification processes that producers should be aware of for the Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program. Initial certification requires a chute-side training, or hands-on training with a general information session. In order for a producer to keep their initial BQA certification, they must get re-certified every two years. This requirement allows the program to cover new material from the industry that has been released in the two year interval.

The instructor will be Courtney Cowden from the Pennsylvania BQA.

Included in the training will be a meet and greet with a light dinner.

For more information about this workshop, or if you are interested in becoming BQA certified for the first time, please contact Chelsea Hill via , or call the Penn State Extension, Wayne County office at 570-253-5970 ext. 4110.
