About The Live Webinar

Establishing wildlife food plots does not require complicated species mixes, intensive fertility strategies, or costly equipment; instead, it relies on simple tools, a soil test, and selecting the right seed mix. In this session, we will cover the essentials of equipment, fertility, and species selection to help you begin and effectively manage your food plot projects. Topics include basic equipment needs, fertility and fertilizer considerations, and choosing species suited to both soil conditions and wildlife goals.

Proper wildlife management goes beyond planting food plots—it involves a broad understanding of forest ecology, invasive species control, and herd management. Antlers and Academics is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to support a healthy deer herd, with a special focus on late-summer and early-fall priorities for food plot managers.
