Originally from Michigan, Anna attended Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology. At Michigan State, she became interested in insects while working as an undergraduate research assistant studying insect vectored plant viruses in biofuel crops. Anna was recruited to graduate school at Penn State, where she was able to combine her interests in agriculture and insects in John Tooker’s lab. In 2016, she completed a Master of Science in Entomology, evaluating pest management strategies in no-till dairy cropping systems.

Anna joined Penn State Extension in 2017 and is based out of the Mifflinburg Extension office. She serves the field and forage crop producers in the Central Susquehanna Region and conducts statewide programming for pesticide education, integrated pest management (IPM), and organic grain production.
