About The Live Webinar

Recognizing the role of ergonomics in agricultural work is essential. The focus of ergonomic practices in agriculture is on designing farm work, equipment, and tasks to fit the worker, thus reducing fatigue, discomfort, and the risk of injury while improving efficiency and safety. Discover how AgrAbility, a national initiative of the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture, supports farmers with disabilities or chronic health conditions by recommending specialized tools, providing educational training, and delivering reliable resources. This webinar is beneficial for farmers, farm managers, and professionals, offering crucial insights and resources to enhance health, safety, and productivity on the farm. During the optional second hour, participants will have the chance to present examples, such as photos or verbal descriptions, for team discussions on improving the ergonomics of work tasks.

This webinar is open to everyone at no cost, thanks to an AgWorks grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. To help track grant reach and eligibility, participants will be asked questions about their farm or agribusiness during registration. Responses will remain confidential and will not be shared outside the project team.

As part of the AgWorks grant initiative, no-cost training and consultation services are available to qualifying small- to medium-sized farms and agribusinesses in Pennsylvania. For more information, visit AgWorks.
