AgrAbility for Pennsylvanians: Cultivating Accessible Agriculture

AgrAbility PA assists farmers and agricultural workers with a disability or long-term health condition that impacts their ability to complete necessary farm responsibilities.

    AgrAbility for Pennsylvanians (AgrAbility PA) provides services and support to farmers with a disability or long-term health condition so they can continue working in or return to production agriculture. Anyone working in agriculture who has a disability or long-term health condition qualifies.

    Services and support include:

    • Farm assessments to identify barriers to work around the farm
    • Identifying safe and appropriate modifications, equipment, or assistive technology
    • Peer and Caregiver support
    • Educational and Referral information

    AgrAbility PA is a statewide partnership between Penn State Extension and UCP Central PA in support of a project funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) 2021-41590-34811.
