Advanced Lumber Drying Workshop is geared toward plant managers, supervisors, and experienced dry kiln operators. The workshop will cover topics such as energy, the physics of how lumber dries, stresses in lumber, kiln design issues, as well as understanding how to use the Heat/Dump/Rest (HDR) method for drying lumber. HDR drying has potential to decrease energy usage, decrease drying times, and increase lumber quality.
