About The In-Person Workshop
"ACAP Practice Approval System: Watering Systems Training" prepares conservation professionals to successfully navigate the Practice Approval System (PAS), the structured framework for designing, reviewing, and approving practices funded through the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP). With a targeted focus on watering systems, this training builds essential skills in planning, design, and certification of Best Management Practices (BMPs) included in the Watering Systems Certification Package. Completion of this training is a required step for professionals seeking certification under PAS, ensuring both consistency and quality in conservation practice delivery.
The Center for Agricultural Conservation Assistance Training (CACAT) at Penn State Extension is supported by funding from the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program, administered by the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission.Â
Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences research and extension programs are funded in part by Pennsylvania counties, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
