About the In-Person Workshop

ACAP Practice Approval System: Grazing Management Fundamentals foundational training introduces conservation professionals to the Practice Approval System (PAS), a structured process that supports the design, review, and approval of practices funded through the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP). With a focus on grazing systems, participants will gain essential knowledge in planning, designing, and certifying conservation Best Management Practices (BMPs) included in the Grazing Management Certification Package. Completion of this training is required prior to participating in the Grazing Fundamentals Applied Training.

This course provides foundational knowledge to prepare participants for planning and certifying practices included in the Grazing Management Certification Package.

The Center for Agricultural Conservation Assistance Training (CACAT) at Penn State Extension is made possible by funding through the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program, which is administered by the PA State Conservation Commission.   

Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences research and extension programs are funded in part by Pennsylvania counties, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
