Description

The Tree Diaper is a National Science Foundation sponsored new technology that features rain/snow-water harvesting, super slow release irrigation, weed control, stormwater retention, erosion control, and mitigation of harsh weather conditions. This webinar presents findings of field tests comparing the Tree Diaper with traditional watering bag on trees planted in road medians in Richmond, Virginia. Results of field test suggest this new technology may provide another option for helping ensure newly planted trees receive enough water and increase tree survival, especially when regular watering may not be practical.
