The Environment Rating Scales are used to evaluate child care classrooms and centers in order to improve quality. Keystone STARS uses both self-assessment as well as an outside observer completing the ERS in order for centers to gain and maintain STARS levels (3 and 4). This training will present/review information about the ERS and then have participants practice using the ERS.

This workshop will talk about why we should use technology in the classroom. We are surrounded by technology on a daily basis including children. Everything from TVs, Smart Phone, iPad, computers, etc. Let's talk about how we can incorporate technology into the classroom effectively, appropriately and intentionally.
Utilizing design and supervision principles, participants will demonstrate effective supervision in the Child Care Classroom.
