Better Kid Care: Infant Toddler STEAM

Before creating S.T.E.A.M. experiences for Infants and Toddlers, we must be able to identify the instinctive progression of these skills and identify our responsibility in keeping these experiences natural.

This class is suitable for, but not limited to, those who have been working with Infants and Toddlers for a number of years.

Participants will access actual portfolio resources (observations/photos/assessments, etc) and the PA Learning Standards to begin reflection of their current practices. Upon completion of this course, learners will:

  • Objective 1: Assess the amount of S.T.E.A.M. events occurring naturally as part of infant/toddler daily activities.
  • Objective 2: Recommend ideas and strategies to enhance S.T.E.A.M. experiences that may be lacking or need support.
  • Objective 3: Plan steps to integrate ideas and strategies to support individual children's S.T.E.A.M. experiences.
