Concerned about a child’s behavior? Want to know how to plan successful activities? Observation skills can help. Learn more about each child and his/her development using the methods of observation in this lesson. This lesson provides examples of good observation techniques and demonstrates skills necessary for useful observations.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, learners will:

  • Describe two different methods for making written observations of children.
  • Identify three tips for observing children
  • Identify one common problem in caring for children and use observation to help find a solution to the problem.
