4-H Conservation Club
Club Information
The 4-H Conservation Club has adopted Pleasant Valley Park through PA CleanWays and have agreed to clean up trash in the park at least two times each year, as our community service project.
The 4-H Conservation Club supports the efforts of the PV Park Volunteers and their work at PV Park in Murrysville. Members of our 4-H club help them to build and maintain the trails at PV Park. Another project we will be undertaking with the PV Park Volunteers this year, will be to raise money to purchase and install educational Tree Signs. These signs, once installed, will help visitors of all ages easily identify around 40 different trees within Pleasant Valley Park.
Area of County
Majority are from the Murrysville area, however the club is open to anyone in Westmoreland County.
Meetings
The club meets for our Business Meetings on the 4th Friday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Laird Hall (of First Presbyterian Church) on North Hills Road in Murrysville.
We will either meet upstairs in the social hall or downstairs in one of the classrooms. Look for a sign directing you to meeting location once you enter the bulding.
We also get together two other times during each month to work on our Project Books. Our Outdoor Project Book Meeting is the 1st Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at PV Park in Murrysville. Our Indoor Project Book Meeting is the 3rd Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Murrysville Municipal Building in the Municipality Conference Room (last door on the right before the library).
If any of these dates fall on a holiday - they will be cancelled or rescheduled. Visit our monthly calendar (link below) to confirm any meeting date or time.
