Practicing public speaking skills and expanding their citizenship experience, 4-H members Sabrina Hayward, Dominic, Clara and Julia Panichelle accompanied 4-H Extension Educator, Johanna Sheppard to the monthly County Commissioners' public meeting on August 18, 2016 at the Greensburg Courthouse to appeal to the public to come to see all the 4-H projects on display at the Westmoreland Fair.

Although the animals are a big draw and also represent many of the 4-H projects, there are lots more exceptional items exhibited by the 4-H members. Dominic built and blasts off a rocket at the fair while his siblings enter fudge and sewing projects. The fair also holds a communication contest which many 4-H members take advantage of to increase presentation skills. The fair is the place where youth are able to show off the end product of a year of hands on learning provided by their 4-H Leaders throughout the year. It also represents the close of the 4-H year at the end of September.
