Students Examine the Community Impacts of Marcellus Shale Development

22 Westmoreland Conservation School students, ages 13 to 15 years, engaged in an interactive presentation about the community impacts of Marcellus shale exploration and development on July 24th at 6:00pm at pavilion #2 in Keystone State Park.

Before and after evaluation polling demonstrated a 100% knowledge gain by the participants.
Educator John Turack commented, "I am very impressed by these students' eagerness to learn about this topic, and by the types of questions they ask. The students questions are very similar to those asked by adult, community planning commission audiences that normally receive this training!"
