HIPPOLOGY NIGHT AT WCCC
Posted: February 29, 2012
Eighty-one 4-H Horse members participated in this year's Hippology Night at WCCC. Youth were quizzed on their complete knowledge of the horse; care, equipment, management, health and more. Each year several teams from Westmoreland County compete at 4-H State Achievement Days in August. The 4-H members were also trained on Good Production Practices 4-6 which included learning about the horse's digestive tract, identification of horses and record keeping. All 4-H members carrying any animal project are required to have GPP instruction every year in order to show their animals.
