Are You Ready for Kindergarten?

In the field of early care and education we often say “Are the schools ready for the children?”  Regardless of your perspective, there are things children and families can do on a daily basis to help lay the foundation for ALL future learning. 

Last year Penn State Extension Better Kid Care and The United Way of Westmoreland County School Readiness hosted an evening of information for interested families.  The session was designed and presented by two graduate students from St Vincent College as part of their education class work.  Approximately 30 people attended this session. 

On Tuesday evening, December 4^th Penn State Extension and the United Way of Westmoreland School Readiness will again host this event.  Those attending will have the opportunity to gather information and resources to support their child’s individual development, as well as ask questions they may have.  For full details contact Patty Graff at the Penn State Extension Office - pag18@psu.edu or call 724-837-1402.
