Retail Farm Market School is valuable for anyone who handles, processes, or merchandizes fresh-market produce. This day-long session includes several education delivery methods, including professionally produced video segments, take-home text, post-harvest handling references, hands-on activities, and a "certification quiz."
This educational program for early education professionals and parents is offered as part of a statewide Penn State Extension program to support quality early learning. Participants will explore extending lesson plans through different age groups.

Local chef Marcia Dunsmore presents a second workshop on preparing, preserving and cooking with fresh herbs. Marcia will also include some thoughts and uses of exotic spices and flavorings that can be grown locally (lemongrass and epazote, for instance).
