Say, "Goodnight Irene" - Then Clean Up Your Well

If your well was flooded after the recent visit by Hurricane Irene - or any other high water event, there are some steps you should take to ensure the safety of your water supply.
In a Penn State Live story following the flooding events in 2006, extension water resource specialist, Bryan Swistock described steps well owners should take if their wells were inundated by flood waters. The advice remains the same, only the link to the publication, Shock Chlorination of Wells and Springs, has changed.
