This all day conference is designed to help forest landowners understand some of the management options that are available to them. The knowledge gained from this conference will prepare them to make sustainable management decisions for their forestland so a healthy and diverse forest will remain for many years to come.
Best Milking Practices- On Farm Culturing is a program that will educate dairy producers, farm managers, and industry representatives the importance of reduced antibiotic use to treat mastitis. This program will teach participants how to properly implement an On Farm Mastitis Culturing program, identify bacteria and make educated treatment decisions to aid in increase profitability.
Those attending the course will have the option to continue as a partner in a year-long parasite research project, provided through a NE SARE Research and Education Grant.
The Food for Profit workshop takes you step by step through the information necessary to start and run a small food product business, especially directed to individuals who will be making and packing their products for resale through grocery stores, farm markets, or restaurants.
