Dr. Mike Orzolek from Penn State Horticulture will talk about the varieties in this state-wide trial.
Biodegradable Mulch Demonstration
We planted several vegetable crops into two different types of biodegradable mulch this spring. See how it performed and hear results from seven other trial sites across the state. Andrew Frankenfield, Penn State Extension Educator from Montgomery County, will talk about his between-row weed management practices.
Need Pesticide Recertification Credits?
Plan to stay for the backpack calibration session at the end of the evening, presented by Aston Ward, Penn State Sustainable Farming Program. We have applied for two pesticide update credits in categories 03, PC and one core credit, pending approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
A light supper will be served. Come rain or shine. If the weather is not agreeable, we will meet in one of the farm buildings.

· 5:30 - 6:30 Learn about weed control using biodegradable mulch.
· 6:30 - 7:00 Core credit session on backpack sprayer calibration.
