Who Should Attend?
Monday, November 22nd— For experienced organic producers. All producers are welcome, but the program will focus on the next step for and intensive discussion among practiced growers and may glaze over introductory topics. Practices discussed will focus on certified organic techniques.
Tuesday, November 23rd— For educators and service providers who work with organic growers. The topics will be the same, but discussion will focus on how to meet the needs of organic producers across the region.
What is Included?
Presentations on timely production related topics. Each topic will include 30 minutes for discussion among growers/ educators. Hands-on experience with soil health measures. You will go home with a packet that includes CDs of all presentations, a summary of each presentation and references to additional resources. You will go home with a soil testing kit that includes instructions and materials for testing various soil biological and physical properties.
