The Penn State Master Gardeners of Susquehanna County will be presenting educational demonstrations and answering gardening questions weekly on Fridays at the Farmers Market on the Green in Montrose, beginning May 3rd.
Penn State Master Gardeners will be on-hand with information about soil analysis, composting, and rain barrel information at Pickering's "Taste of Country" Event in Thompson, Pa.
The Penn State Master Gardeners in Susquehanna County recently held a “Get Going, Get Growing” Spring Gardening Day program at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Montrose.
The Penn State Master Gardeners in Susquehanna County will be hosting gardening classes through the Montrose Adult School this spring. This is a great chance to receive hands-on practical gardening education, meet new friends and be part of the wonderful opportunities that the Montrose Adult School has to offer.
The Trehab Food Bank in Montrose now has the capacity to grow food for the community. They are in the beginning stages of preparing a large garden area for food production. Trehab received a beautiful state of the art greenhouse through the Area Agency on Aging and are now able to use the area adjacent to the greenhouse for garden space. We welcome community assistance and input.

You Can Become Certified Too! Three Penn State Master Gardeners in Susquehanna County have recently had their pollinator gardens officially certified by Penn State as a “Pollinator Friendly Garden.” Rosi Barnhart, Friendsville; Shirley Krayeski, Springville and Judith Marsh (Master Gardener Apprentice), Uniondale all were certified this year.
