Susquehanna County 4-H celebrated the Pennsylvania 4-H’s 100th Anniversary at its annual 4-H Achievement Night and Leaders Recognition Event on Saturday, November 3rd at Mountain View High School.
John & Bonny Onyon Recognized with “Friend of Extension” Award

John and Bonny Onyon, New Milford were presented with the 2012 Susquehanna County “Friend of Extension” Award at a joint event held by Penn State Extension in Susquehanna County and Susquehanna County Conservation District at the Montrose Bible Conference Center on Wednesday, October 10th.
Mother and Daughter Compete in State 4-H Competitive Trail Competition

Susquehanna County 4-H member Kelly Oliver, 14, Springville and her mother 4-H Horse Leader Connie Oliver recently competed in the Pennsylvania State 4-H Competitive Trail Ride, also known as the “Keystone Ride” on September 16. Kelly and Connie both placed second in their respective divisions; Kelly in the Jr. Rider Division and Connie in the Adult Division.
Beta Rho Contributes to Dresses for Africa

Jan Cohen, Penn State Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences/Family Resiliency, accepts a check from Cindy G. Reynolds representing Beta Rho Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. The chapter donated $173.00 to cover the shipping costs for the Dresses for Africa, books, and shoes for the Children and Youth Empowerment Center in Nyeri, Kenya.
Penn State Extension Welcomes You to Their New Location!

The office of Penn State Extension in Susquehanna County has recently been relocated to 88 Chenango Street in Montrose. Extension shares their new location, a turn of the century traditional home with the Susquehanna County Soil Conservation District. The new location is just down the street from our former location.
