The Home Gardeners’ Top Ten Herbs for Cooking
Do you love fresh herbs in your favorite recipes? Are you tired of paying supermarket prices for those herbs? Come learn how easy it is to grow your own herbs, harvest them to use in your favorite recipes and preserve them for use during the winter months. You will learn the most commonly used herbs and suggestions for what herbs to use in what recipes. Each participant will receive a few herbs to take home: basal (pesto), parsley (pesto), oregano, sage, rosemary, thyme, tarragon, mint, chives and dill.

The Penn State Master Gardeners in Susquehanna County will be hosting gardening classes through the Montrose Adult School. This is a great chance to receive hands-on practical gardening education, meet new friends and be part of the wonderful opportunities that the Montrose Adult School has to offer.
