Charting the Future of Our Community
The program brings community leaders and interested citizens together who are willing to commit time and energy toward discovering their vision and a plan of action to achieve it. How to Apply
To have a Charting program in your community, you must submit a completed application form to your county's Penn State Cooperative Extension office. The application form is also available on-line in a Microsoft Word and PDF format. Potential applicants are encouraged to contact their county office prior to working on the application to insure the program is available in their county, and for any special instructions about completing the application. Typically, the application is completed by a local steering committee (at least 3 to 5 community residents), who return it to Penn State Cooperative Extension. Cooperative Extension staff will then visit the community, answer questions, and assess the community's readiness for Charting.
Applications for CHARTING programs may be submitted at any time. Sessions will be scheduled on a first come basis and depending on the community’s readiness.
This program is not available statewide.
