Sheep Shearing School
Sheep Shearing School teaches the basics of harvesting wool with electric shears. You will become competent in catching, moving and throwing sheep, shearing and preparing the fleece for market.

- Make your preliminary reservation by calling the Bucks County Extension Office at 215-345-3283 by April 24. Complete your reservation by submiting your registration form (available soon) and a check made payable to Bucks County Extension.
- Cost—coming soon.
- Enrollment is limited and is on a first come, first served basis. We only accept 12 into the school.
- Participants must be at least 15 years old. Plan to attend both days.
- All equipment will be provided. Feel free to bring your own shears if you so desire. You may want to bring a pair of light canvas work gloves. You will get dirty, so wear appropriate clothing. To prevent the spread of disease, please do not wear clothing or boots that you normally wear in your own barn. Do not bring any of your own sheep.
- It’s a good idea to bring along some refreshments such as water, soda and/or snacks.
