Western Bean Cutworm Lay Eggs in Potter County

- A western bean cutworm trap in Potter County has caught record number of moths in Pennsylvania. At this location, the economic threshold for egg masses has not been reached. WBC is a relatively new pest to the area that should be monitored when scouting fields. Any instances of WBC larva as a pest in corn can be reported to Nicole Santangelo, Local Agronomy Educator at (814)274-8540.
