Spotted wing drosophila (SWD) is also being found in surrounding states in low numbers. Ours was a female found in a wild black raspberry patch along the edge of the woods. Both Trece 3-part lures and Scentry lures together with apple cider vinegar are attracting many more fruit flies than apple cider vinegar alone. Growers should be aware that SWD is around, and if you have susceptible crops, be monitoring, and probably also be treating since it’s likely that SWD is around.
