Carbon Balance Model for May 11

Below are the Carbon Balance Model tables for five locations around the state based on SkyBit temperatures and radiation estimates. The graph represents data from the Penn State Fruit Research and Extension Center in Biglerville.

Northern Allegheny County had a deficit carbon balance early in the week, most likely due to clouds with rain showers, but looks to get to a surplus in projected reports with increasing sun the next two days. Juniata County also had a deficit although not very deep with a projected surplus through the next few days. Southeastern Berks did not have the deficit that other areas had this week and also looks to have a surplus heading into the weekend. Erie has been running surplus carbon all week and is projected to continue.
