On-Farm Training and Participatory Learning: Biologically-based IPM and Sustainable Farming Practices for Amish and Mennonite Vegetable Growers
This project focuses on improving profitability and sustainability of small family vegetable operations in Southern Pennsylvania through hands-on training with whole-farm consultants. Field scouts are working with growers using a one-on-one field training approach, teaching about sustainable farming practices and integrated pest management options. Funded by NE-SARE, 2008 to 2011.
