Master Gardeners Answer Questions at Plant Sale
Posted: April 11, 2017
While offering plants selected for local growing conditions at their May 6, 2017 plant sale, Master Gardeners will also be on hand to answer gardening questions. Volunteers who also staff a Horticulture Hotline on weekday mornings can answer questions about how to plant new purchases or about other issues cropping up in the garden this spring. Soil tests will also be available for a small purchase fee. Soil tests are easily administered by the homeowner and sent to labs at Penn State University for analysis. The analysis comes with specific instructions on how to correct soil conditions for the flowers, vegetables, shrubs, or turf grass you are trying to grow. The plant sale begins at 7:30 a.m., and Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions until the sale ends at around 10:30 a.m. Location is the Farm and Home Center at 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. For more information contact the Master Gardeners at email@example.com, or 717-394-6851.
