What’s ‘Growing’ on in the Garden? Monthly Walk and Talk

Do you ever wonder what that insect chewing on your tomato plant is? Or, why your lettuce leaves are curling and turning brown? Do other gardeners face the same problems? Wonder no longer! Join the Lycoming County Master Gardeners for an informal walk and talk on what’s growing, or not in the gardens and how to handle problems.

There will be Master Gardeners every second Saturday April through October from 10 to 11 AM at the Demonstration gardens at Lysock Complex, 542 County Farm Rd., Montoursville, PA 17754.

Come see what pests, practices, and produce are in the garden and learn tips and tricks to get the most from your gardens. Bring a sample of mystery weeds, bugs or disease in your gardens to share! Come and go anytime during the hour with your questions, hear what other gardeners in the community are facing, or see what’s new in the Master Gardeners’ garden beds.

The gardens are open to the public, but dates when you can be sure there will be a Master Gardener there are April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12 (Gardenfest), September 9 and October 14.

The Walk and Talks are free of charge, and no registration is required. Meet in the gardens, rain or shine, so please dress accordingly! If you have any questions, please call the Cooperative Extension Office at 570-433-3040.
