Penn State Master Gardeners in Cumberland County are volunteers trained by Penn State Extension to provide reliable, research-based home gardening information to the public through informal workshops and classes, demonstration gardens, and plant clinics.

Registration Details

Workshops are $5.00 each. This fee includes any handouts. Pre-registration and payment are requested at least one week prior to the date of the workshop. Walk-ins will be accepted only if space is available.

Program Details

Maggie Pepe, Penn State Master Gardener

Everyone is familiar with tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths, but there are many other “minor” bulbs that are easy to plant and even easier to care for. Explore bulbs beyond the ordinary as Maggie shares some of her favorite flowering bulbs for spring and fall color.

Door Prizes

Door prizes will be given at each workshop. At each workshop, you may enter the drawing to win the grand door prize, a Penn State Extension Master Gardener Manual (valued at $75.00), to be awarded at the last workshop of the season on October 24.
