Penn State Master Gardeners in Cumberland County are volunteers trained by Penn State Extension to provide reliable, research-based home gardening information to the public through informal workshops and classes, demonstration gardens, and plant clinics.

Registration Details

Workshops are $5.00 each. This fee includes any handouts. Pre-registration and payment are requested at least one week prior to the date of the workshop. Walk-ins will be accepted only if space is available.

Program Details

Understanding the growth patterns and interactions of perennial plants is key to a more naturalistic planting style that combines design elements with ecological principles. Learn tips and ideas on creating sustainable plant communities in your own landscape.

Door Prizes

Door prizes will be given at each workshop. At each workshop, you may enter the drawing to win the grand door prize, a Penn State Extension Master Gardener Manual (valued at $75.00), to be awarded at the last workshop of the season on October 24.
