Adaptive Grazing Tours at Ag Progress Days

Posted: August 9, 2017

Adaptive grazing, mob grazing, intensive rotational grazing, high stock density grazing – are you wondering what those terms mean?

Come on the Adaptive Grazing and Soil Health Tour at Ag Progress Days and you will learn all about them. These new grazing strategies are promoted because, besides boosting production, they also improve soil health. The benefits to frequent animal moves and fencing and watering considerations will be discussed. Diverse cover crop mixes for use in cropping and grazing systems will be shown. The tour includes live demonstrations of paddock rotation with grazing Angus.

The bus for the tour leaves daily from the red loading area at the top of Main Street at 10:30am and 12:30pm with additional tours on Tuesday and Wednesday at 2:30pm.
