Posted: June 28, 2017

Enjoy the cooler weather... Showers, heat and humidity return for the weekend.

Although the last couple of days have been a bit cool, temperatures across the state since June 1st have been above normal while precipitation across western Pennsylvania has been well above normal, but near to slightly below normal for eastern Pennsylvania, especially in the vicinity of Snyder county.  The cool weather will continue through Tuesday as scattered showers grace the northern counties of Pennsylvania, but by Wednesday, temperatures recover to normal levels, and begin heading into the 80's with low 90's in the southeast for the weekend.  Humid conditions will return by Friday, and scattered showers and thunderstorms will affect the state on Friday and Saturday.  Showers and humidity on Sunday will gradually diminish as dryer conditions take over for Monday, although temperatures will continue to be seasonably warm in the 80's.  Another disturbance will cross the state on Tuesday and Wednesday bringing another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms while temperatures remain in the low to mid 80's.  Looking farther out, temperatures through the middle weeks of July are expected to be near normal.
