Soil Fertility Workshops

Soil fertility workshops will be held at a few locations across the state and will focus on proper soil fertility management for profitable crop yields.

Soil Fertility Workshops will be held in Franklin, Huntingdon and McKean Counties in March. Dr. Doug Beegle, Penn State Extension Soil Fertility Specialist, and local Field & Forage Crops Educators will be speaking on various topics, including: soil testing, micronutrients, nutrient application timing, and manure management. These workshops are free; however, seating is limited. To register or for more information, visit the website.

  • The Workshop in Franklin County will be held on Tuesday, March 14, from 10:00am – 2:00pm at the Ag Heritage Building in Chambersburg. Deadline to register is Friday, March 10.
  • The Workshop in Huntingdon County will be held on Thursday, March 23, from 9:30am – 3:15pm at Hoss’s Restaurant in Huntingdon.
  • The Workshop in McKean County will be held on Tuesday, March 28, from 10:00am – 3:00pm on Main Street in Smethport.
