Weather Outlook for July 5, 2016

Posted: July 6, 2016

It will feel sticky around here the next few days, but reprieve is on the way.

While some showers and storms made it into the southern two-thirds of Pennsylvania over the holiday weekend, much of northern PA has remained dry over the past week. A disturbance will bring more widespread showers and storms to the region later this week.

Humidity levels will increase on Wednesday and Thursday with some widely scattered showers. Temperatures will be slightly above normal with afternoon highs primarily in the 80s and reaching the low 90s in parts of southeastern Pennsylvania. A disturbance will pass to our north on Friday and Saturday, bringing more widespread showers and even a few strong thunderstorms to the region. The storm will likely bring some much-needed rain to northern Pennsylvania during this time. Less humid and seasonal temperatures will ensue on Sunday through early next week as high pressure builds into the state.
