Farming for Success 2014 Field Day Approaching

Mark your calendars and don’t forget to register for the 2014 Farming for Success Field Day – Thursday, June 26th 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. The Field Day is held at Penn State Southeast Agricultural Research and Extension Center (SEAREC), 1446 Auction Road, Manheim, PA 17545.
This year’s field day promises to be another informative event featuring a wide range of crop production and soil fertility topics. You will be able to see research projects in the field with tour stops featuring presentations by Penn State extension specialists and other industry professionals. Participants will choose from three different tracks based upon their own interests.
5 Certified Crop Advisor Credits (CCA), 1.5 PA Nutrient Management and 1.5 PA Manure Hauler/Broker Credits will be available at the field day.
Some of the tour stops and session will include: Biostimulants, Palmer Pigweed Identification and Control, Manure and No-Till: Can these Two Complement Each Other, Cover Crops: Planting into Green Demonstrations, Mixes and Soil health and More. Choose from 12 different topics in all! Cost: $10.00 including lunch.
