Management of Aquatic Plants course focuses on pond management and is approved for recertification credits.

Penn State Extension is offering an Aquatic Pesticide Correspondence Course that is approved for three Category 9 recertification credits from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. This would be an ideal course for agricultural producers who have a pond on their property and need category recertification credits. If you register for the course you will receive the Penn State publication entitled “Management of Aquatic Plants” and the corresponding cd containing seven short videos on pond management. Participants review the material and complete and return seven short worksheets. If you score higher than 70% on the combined worksheets, you pass the course and receive the pesticide update credits. The registration fee is $30.00. This course can be taken for pesticide recertification credits only once. The course is being coordinated by Penn State Extension Educator, Jim Clark, located at the Penn State Extension Office in McKean County. His email address is if you have further questions.
