Soybean Growers’ Field Day- August 23, 2012, Penn State Southeast Agricultural and Research Center (Landisville Farm), Manheim, PA

Join us for the Pennsylvania Soybean Growers Field Day. It’s a great opportunity for growers to observe research trials funded by the soybean checkoff and interact with researchers and others involved in soybean production. You have missed the preregistration deadline (August 17), but call the Pennsylvania Soybean Board office at (717) 651-5922 and ask if can still attend.

2012 Custom Applicator Training – September 12, 2012, Penn State Southeast Agricultural and Research Center (Landisville Farm), Manheim, PA

If you are a custom applicator, join us from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Wednesday September 12 at Landisville for custom applicator training.  Topics will include both CORE and CATEGORY credit recertification including nozzle selection, record keeping, MSDS sheet review, highway and license regulations update, and using the Penn State Agronomy Guide.  Binkley and Hurst and Messick Farm Equipment will be on-hand with some of their application equipment. You can receive up to 7 pesticide recertification credits and the cost for this event is $40 per person and includes lunch.  To register, call the Lebanon County Extension Office at 717-270-4391 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
