Pennsylvania Forage and Grassland Council

The Pennsylvania Forage and Grassland Council is dedicated to the production and utilization of quality forage and grassland.

Formed in 1960, the Pennsylvania Forage and Grassland Council (PFGC) is made up of individuals and organizations that are interested in forage and grassland based agriculture.

Publish Pennsylvania Forage and Grassland News, a quarterly newsletter addressing forage and grassland concerns in Pennsylvania. All PFGC members are also members of our national organization, AFGC, and receive the national publications.

Forages and grasslands involve a large percentage of our land base, and cross many disciplines. Directly or indirectly every forage-livestock farmer, and nearly every citizen in the state has been affected by the PFGC and its programs. And the influence of the PFGC has been felt well beyond state borders.

The PFGC provides several key advantages to companies which manufacture or market products or services used in the forage industry.

During 2010, the Pennsylvania Forage and Grassland Council (PFGC) is celebrating its 50th birthday with events leading up to the grand celebration on Nov. 23 at the Shady Maple Banquet and Conference Center near New Holland, Pennsylvania.
