Penn State Extension Offering Woodlot Management Course

The Caring for Your Woods I: Essential Principles two part course will be held at the Susquehanna County Office Building, 81 Public Avenue, Montrose, PA 18801 on June 20 and 27, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:30 PM. To complete the entire course attendance at both sessions is necessary. The registration fee is $20 per. Pre-registration is required by June 15th.
The course is designed for private forest landowners, professional timber harvesters, sportsmen and women, and other outdoor enthusiasts interested in learning the essential principles about how to care for woodland. Topics include: forest history, ecology, management techniques, and best management practices utilizing both indoor lecture and outdoor discussions.
