Learn to Knit with the Milford Knitting Society Club
Posted: January 10, 2012
New members are being sought now. Shop owner Jill Deal will help young club members to develop beginning knitting skills or expand their existing skills.
4-H clubs promote learning-by-doing and focus on developing skills for a lifetime. It is the youth development program of Penn State Extension. Club members make new friends and learn to work and play together. They meet to plan and direct their own program under the leadership of an adult volunteer. Club membership is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 18. Members pay an annual fee of $11 for educational materials.
The next club meeting is scheduled for January 19. Enroll your child in 4-H and the Milford Knitting Society Club or any of the other clubs in Pike County. Contact the Penn State Extension office, 514 Broad Street, Milford, call 570-296-3400 or e-mail PikeExt@psu.edu for enrollment procedures.
