December Childcare Provider Trainings to be Held in Milford

Penn State Extension in Pike County is offering two Childcare Provider Trainings in December.
Both programs will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the Commissioners’ Meeting room of the Pike County Administration Bldg., 506 Broad St., Milford, PA 18337. The cost for each program is $5.00. The dates and topics are:
- December 4: Partnering with Parents: Working as a Team. Participants will define guidelines for building relationships with parents, and review some of the parenting styles seen by childcare providers. Participants will develop strategies for dealing with sensitive issues, working with language barriers or cultural differences. Registration is required by November 30.
- December 12: Planning a Curriculum to Fit Your Space. Participants will identify ways to best utilize their environment to maximize children's potential to learn. Registration is required by December 7.

Payment must be received in the Pike County Extension office, 514 Broad St., Milford PA 18337, PRIOR to the workshop date. There must be a minimum of 10 PAID registered participants by the course deadline in order to hold the workshop.
