When parents and early childhood educators see each other as allies in caring for young children, everyone benefits. Teachers do make a big difference in the lives of children and their families. Child care professionals frequently face dilemmas in establishing responsive, supportive relationships with parents. Working effectively with parents is an important contribution to children's healthy development.
