National Restaurant Association’s Educational Foundation
ServSafe Essentials Course Description: A combination of home study and a one day ServSafe® class requires 8 hours of home study and 8 hours of classroom instruction, for a total of 16 hours. The National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe® course includes an exam.
Initial Certification Cost: $189.00 - Includes course textbook, exam and all other materials.
Re-Exam Policy: Should you not pass the exam; re-exams will be administered at a cost of $70.

Certification Registration: Pre-registration and pre-payment are required before course date.
Home Study is required. You may also register in person at the Penn State Philadelphia Outreach Center. You will receive a book upon registration. Please note you are not officially registered until payment is received. Use one registration form per participant. (Forms may be photocopied). Picture ID is required at the class.
Refund Policy: If you cannot attend the entire session, contact us prior to the class and your fee can be applied to another course. Refunds may be granted if notified 14 days prior to course date, otherwise there will be a fee of $50.00 if you cancel or reschedule after that date. If the course is cancelled, participants will be notified at their specified telephone number.
